Gluten-free options

The shop sells gluten-free farmhouse sausages, supplied frozen. Its ingredients page also lists gluten-free sausagemeat, chipolatas, cocktail sausages and pigs in blankets; ask about current stock. The butchers say they follow strict separation procedures: the gluten-free sausages are the first batch made each day, before any other product. They are then individually blast frozen, packed and kept in a display freezer for sale.

Before you order

The shop describes how it makes the sausages, but the gluten-free claim does not cover the whole counter, so check the ingredients of anything else you buy. UK labels emphasise gluten-containing ingredients, and "gluten free" is a regulated claim.
