Cafe

The Lookout at Lepe Country Park

Lepe Country Park, Lepe Road, SO45 1AD

A seafront cafe at Lepe Country Park, run by Hampshire County Council, serving breakfast, lunch and drinks.

The cafe's gluten-free rolls come individually wrapped and stay wrapped until service, going straight from the packet to the plate with no handling, so they are kept apart from ordinary bread. It says it can adapt several dishes to be gluten free: The Classic, Big Green Grilled, On The Go, Beachcomber, Proper Tasty, Munch Brunch, Chicken in a Bowl, and the bacon and sausage baps. The soup of the day comes with a gluten-free roll. Gluten-free cakes include lemon drizzle, Victoria sponge, and courgette and avocado.

The cafe has described how it handles the rolls but not how the adapted dishes are cooked, so tell staff you are coeliac and ask how your dish will be prepared.

How are the adapted dishes cooked and kept apart from other food?
